Social Net-Cast Events Work: Proof Is In The Live Demo

Kersten's Ramblings

"A shoemaker should always wear their own shoes"

Social Net-Casts work for Refreshed IT. We wear them regularly. It's a product that sells itself through real world use.

Social Net-Casts are highly interactive on-line web event portals that raise the caliber of communications between presenters and their audiences. But, instead of just talking about these event portals, Refreshed IT uses them regularly to communicate and mentor the benefits of the medium.

What are these Social Net-cast events?

Refreshed IT events draw an audience into an interactive experience around a live demonstration. Select a topic, a sales pitch, a product launch, investor update, or newscast, and invite the audience to become a part of a mini social network around that event.

This experience resembles a live auditorium event. Attendees register, arrive, fill out "Hello my name is" cards, mingle with others with similar interests and network. During the live broadcast, they are able to communicate with the presenters, and their support staff. They can also communicate either openly or in private with other event attendees. Following the event, the audience can join in post event forums and discussions.

All this happens online, hosted on the presenters' website.

How are these different from webinars or web videos?

1) Improve attendance by offering more value (networking & entertainment)
2) Increase information retention through audience participation
3) Prolong dialogue about the subject through post event discussions
4) Offer presenters a tool to listen to and learn from their audience through their open dialogue.

This type of event becomes far more valuable to both exhibitors and audiences.
