Project Management on Your Own Website

Collaboration

If you or your management team are experiencing difficulties tracking team activity, projects or group tasks, may I suggest you take a close look at online project management solutions like ProjectFork, run inside a Refreshed-IT web portal.

In past blogs I wrote about using online collaboration to reduce email dependency.  This is one way to reduce email noise and focus teams on delivering projects on time.

There are several other options available, like BaseCamp, ActiveCollab or Zoho, but what I like most about Project Fork, besides its ease of use, is that it can be hosted on your own website so you maintain the benefits of ubiquetous cloud computing and retain full control over your intellectual property.

ProjectFork and similar online project managers create a unique web page for each of your projects. Here organizers manage their projects, create project milestones, invite team members to participate, assign tasks and set deadlines. All activity is logged centrally on a Refreshed-IT self administered website in a private project portal where members of the team work collaboratively to achieve milestones inside set deadlines.

As a project manager you track overall project progress through a private administrator dashboard. Team members manage their own tasks and report on their own task progress through completion estimates while staying informed on team project movement. Your task list becomes a collaborative effort with the team focused and motivated to deliver scheduled results.

 Benefits:

•Fully web based programming so NO SOFTWARE needs to be installed on individual users' computers

•Improves workflow by reducing repetition while focusing teams on achieving deadlines

•You reduce email confusion by only being updated through project progress reports

•Accessible by mobile phone

•No monthly subscription fees.

ProjectFork through Refreshed-IT fully integrates into Refreshed IT content management system websites and is even compatible with mobile phones like the i-Phone so no team member is ever far away from reporting on their project.
